WSTC Tennis Director Janet Khaemba is a highly motivated Racquet Sports Professional with over 18 years of experience teaching and playing tennis and she returns for her fifth year as the Club Tennis Director.
Janet demonstrates expertise in strategic lesson design, corrective techniques, refined problem-solving, communication skills, fitness education, and most importantly, having fun while practicing with a purpose.
Qualifications, achievements and experience:
- USPTA and PTR (10 and under, adult development, high performance juniors) certified tennis teaching professional.
- USTA Affiliate.
- Pickleball instructor.
- During the off season (indoors), Janet teaches tennis skills at the Longfellow health clubs, teaching tennis to adults and kids including, high performance juniors, 10 and under tennis, Men's and Women's teams, private lessons and pickleball.
- Served as Tennis Director at Sudbury Swim and Tennis for five years.
- Served as Camp Tennis Director at Concord Academy.
- Served as Teaching Pro at Nashawtuc Country Club.
- Instructed at Hammel tennis camps for seven years.
- Served as Teaching Pro at Greendale YMCA and Shrewsbury.
- Coached the Girls’ tennis team at Natick High School for 9 years.
- USTA’s Women in Tennis Together (WITT) Girls Empowerment camps for 3 years; served as Director of the Sportsman's WITT in 2018.
- A 2012 National Champion in USTA League play, two Silver Bowls at National Grass Courts Doubles Championships, 2018 USTA Doubles Player of the Year.
- Collegiate Athlete at Virginia Intermont College.
When Janet is not on the tennis or pickleball court, you will find her reading books, spending time with family, cooking, dancing, hiking, running, traveling and she is very excited for the Summer at WSTC!
