Wayland Swim and Tennis is fortunate to have Coach Mike Foley, who coaches the Wayland High School boys and girls swim teams as our club swim team head coach. Working alongside Coach Foley are high school and college student coaches, many of whom have participated on the WSTC and WHS swim teams. 

The Swim team provides a great opportunity for swimmers of all levels to practice and improve their skills. Children of all ages are encouraged to join, with the requirement of being able to  swim ½ of a length of the pool on their own. Each child is encouraged to set personal goals which can vary from learning something new (a stroke or flip turn), to trying a new event (swimming an IM for the first time) or swimming in their very first meet.

There are many social events throughout the season, including an ice cream social, a pizza lunch, a team breakfast, and Awards Night.

Practice Monday - Friday

Practice runs Thursday, June 20th through Friday, August 2th (TBC)

Ages 4-6                11:30 am - 12:00 pm
Ages 7-10              10:30 am - 11:30 am
Ages 11 & Up        9:15 am - 10:30 am

All Ages                  5pm - 6pm       Monday-Thursday ONLY

Swim Team Fees

Kids 4-6                   $175
Juniors 7-10             $225
Teens 11 & Up         $235
Grades 10-12           $0

Fees include all swim social activities.

There is no charge for rising 10th, 11th or 12th grade students, but you must register your child at $0 fee to be included on the roster.

Your child will need a team suit and goggles (swimsuit fitting dates are posted above and order information will be provided). WSTC swim cap is included in the swimsuit cost.

Dive Team

Diving lessons at WSTC are catered toward all skill levels, from beginners to advanced divers. Beginners will be taught skills such as a Forward Approach, or Hurtle, a Back Take Off, a Forward Dive and a Back Dive.  As participants improve their basic dives, they ware taught more difficult dives, including forward somersaulting dives, back somersaulting dives, inward dives and somersaults, and reverse dives. Once divers are able to complete a certain number of dives, they can dive in the meets.

Dive meets are typically before the swim meet and occasional afternoons during the week.
 

Practice Monday - Friday

Dive Team practice runs Thursday, June 20th - Friday, August 2th (TBC) 

Lessons ONLY    1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Team ONLY        2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Dive Team Fee

Cost is $150 per child

$0 per child in Grades 10-12

Fees include all Dive Team social activities.

There is no charge for children entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade, but you must register your child at a $0 to be included on the roster.
