Pool Rules

1. USE OF THE CLUB BY CHILDREN

a. All children under 15 years of age must be accompanied by a parent after 5:00 pm on Club property.

2. USE OF LARGE POOL BY CHILDREN

a. Children under 3 years of age may NOT use the large pool unless supervised by an instructor or parent within arm’s length.

b. Children 10 years old, or entering the 5th grade, are allowed in the pool area unaccompanied.

c. All other children must be accompanied within the pool area at all times by a responsible person at least 12 years old unless they are taking lessons.

3. USE OF WADING POOL

a. No child over 7 years of age shall be permitted to use the wading pool at any time.

b. NO CHILD IN DIAPERS WILL BE ALLOWED IN ANY POOL.

c. No metal or rigid plastic toys shall be allowed in the wading pool.

d. Any child using the wading pool must be accompanied WITHIN THE ENCLOSURE by a responsible person at least 12 years old.

4. HEALTH AND SAFETY

a. All bathers must wear proper bathing attire as defined by the Pool Director.

b. All bathers must take a cleansing shower before entering the pool.

c. No person with a cold, cough, fever, inflamed eyes, skin disease, wearing a bandage etc., will be permitted to swim in the pool.

d. Running, playing tag, wrestling, unnecessary splashing, pushing or pulling others into the pool, water fighting, snapping towels, etc., are not permitted in the pool area. Playing ball is restricted to the area designated by the lifeguards.

e. No air-inflated tubes, jackets, toys or other paraphernalia shall be allowed in the large pool. Devices for instructional aid, such as kickboards and bubbles, may be used only with permission of the Pool Director or the lifeguard.

f. Extreme caution at all times must be observed in the use of the diving board. Look before diving, and at the completion of the dives, swim out straight or turn to the nearest side of the pool. No diving from the sides of the pool in the diving area without the guard on duty first closing the diving boards. Only ONE person at a time is allowed on the diving board.

g. Trash must be disposed of in appropriate receptacles.

5. GENERAL

a. The Club Manager may post on the pool bulletin board special rules governing the use of the pool, in addition to or modifying the rules printed herein. The Manager may also add to or modify the rules verbally when time or circumstances do not permit posting of a written order. The Manager has authority at all times to enforce the house rules and take any necessary action to guarantee the safety of all.

b. Every precaution will be taken for the safety of all concerned, but the Club is not responsible for accidents of any kind.

c. The Club will not be responsible for loss or damage to personal property.

d. The Club Manager or the Board of Governors shall have the right to temporarily suspend at any time the Club privileges of any member and members of his family who do not comply with these rules and regulations. Serious misconduct and/or property damage to the Club could result in the dismissal of the family from the Club and forfeiture of any or all of the family’s entrance fees.

e. These rules may be revised or additional rules established at any time by the Board of Governors. All changes will be posted promptly.
